President

Nicky Graver

While you might see my name as Nincolle in my official documents, my friends (including my band family) call me Nicky.  My son Troy is currently a sophomore and has been playing the trombone since 5th grade.  We’re heading into his third year of the marching band.  He’s a member of the Low Rider group and will be a section leader next year.  Troy is also a member of Jazz 1, Jazz 2 and concert band and will be joining Symphonic Winds next year.  This past indoor season Troy dipped his toes into the Indoor Percussion unit as well and absolutely loved it!

My husband and I have volunteered our time helping with props, pit crew and the fleet.  You can usually find us either in one of the band trucks or pushing pit equipment around.  In addition to my role as Booster President, I am also the Fleet Manager.  On a more personal level, I have two other children:  Jarrod who is currently a 7th grader at Eagle View and Ava who is a 3rd Grader at Green Ridge.  Jarrod plays competitive soccer for Eagle FC and was on the middle school soccer team.  Ava is a dancer at Wevodau Dance Studio and does gymnastics at Rich Valley Gymnastics.

1st Vice President

Bob Tomaine

My son, Justin, and I are in the third year of our marching band journey. Justin is the low brass section leader. His several instruments include tuba (in marching band and Symphonic Winds), rack percussion (during the indoor season) and trombone (for the Low Rider line). I am an attorney for the Pennsylvania Department of Education during work hours. In my spare time I enjoy spectator sports (especially golf), rock concerts, and spending time with my wife, Nicole. She and I work in the concession stand at every CV football home game on behalf of the band boosters. I look forward to serving as Vice President 1 for 2024-25.

I’ll be in the Vice President 2 role for the upcoming year. My oldest daughter, Kara, is currently a sophomore and is a part of the color guard. She has been a part of the color guard for the past 5 years. I also have another daughter in 7th grade who has a love for soccer and a son in 3rd grade who I believe is starting a love for music. We shall see next year when he tries out the violin. :) My hubby, Bill, is my partner in crime helping me to keep our zoo running. I have volunteered in multiple areas of the program but have spent a majority of the time chaperoning. I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons and all the fun we can have!

Recording Secretary

Courtney Orr

My name is Courtney Orr and I will be serving as the Recording Secretary this year. Our oldest son, Conor, plays trumpet and will be entering into his second year in CVMB as a 10th grader. He plays travel soccer for East Penn Elite and plays trumpet for Jazz Band 1 and concert band. He will be joining Symphonic Winds next year. He loved Marching Band immediately, and it’s been such an incredible experience for him that my husband, Jerry, and I are excited to help in whatever ways we can to support the band. We met in college choir, so music is especially important to our family! Our son Lucas is a 7th grader at Mountain View and plays saxophone; our daughter, Abigail, is a 1st grader at Shaull and plays piano. Previously, I worked at Penn State University as an academic adviser but have been fortunate to be a stay at home mom since we moved into the area 10 years ago. I volunteer both in the schools and at The Highmark Caring Place (a grief and loss center for children and their families).

My name is Amy Melhorn. My daughter Teagan will be a freshman on the guard and is one of the section leaders. She is going into her third year and is a member of the varsity indoor program. I am a research chemist and project manager for a large global chemical manufacturing company. Dave and I have been together forever and a day (17 years). We have 4 kids who have graduated CV (class of 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2020) and have Teagan and Cecilee, who will be going into 6th grade at Mountain View. She is a competition dancer at Dance Revelation and plays both viola and percussion. We have 3 dogs (Penny the English bulldog, Tucker the Australian shepherd, and Zooey the corgi). I spent 7 years (middle and high school) in my school’s marching band program where we won 6 national competitions and numerous other regional competitions (including Cavalcade and BOA). Our program was one where everyone felt like family and was welcomed with open arms and that is my goal for CV’s program as well.

Treasurer

Janet Butterfield

I am your Treasurer for the 2024-2025 season. Currently, I am employed full-time in the financial sector as a Lead Business System Analyst. My husband, Don, and I have 2 daughters. Nichole is an upcoming 9th grader and is looking forward to Marching Band and being a member of the saxophone section. Recently, she has been a member of the Mountain View Jazz band and concert band and is a competitive swimmer who swims year-round. Becky, who is a CV Alumni, marched 4 years with the CV Marching Band and is now a junior in college where she continues to march with her college marching band. From a young age, I have participated in various marching bands from local, high school and college level and still follow various bands. I am looking forward to helping out where I am needed and can’t wait to meet many new families this upcoming season.
